چکیده
This article is dedicated to establishing a novel approach the cosmological constant, in which it treated as an eigenvalue of certain Sturm–Liouville problem. The key this lies proper formulation physically relevant boundary conditions. Our suggestion regard utilize “holographic condition”, under horizon can only bear natural (i.e., non-fractional) number bits information. Under framework, we study general d-dimensional problem and derive formula for discrete spectrum positive energy density vacuum. For particular case two dimensions, resultant be analytically solved degenerate hypergeometric functions, so possible define explicitly self-action potential, determines fields matter model. We conclude by taking look at model fractal horizon, where Bekenstein’s entropy gets replaced Barrow entropy. gives us chance discuss recently realized existence naked singularities D≠3 models.

Three-dimensional supergravity and the cosmological constant.
Witten has argued that in 2+1 dimensions local supersymmetry can ensure the vanishing of the cosmological constant without requiring the equality of bose and fermi masses. We find that this mechanism is implemented in a novel fashion in the (2+1)-dimensional supersymmetric abelian Higgs model coupled to supergravity. The vortex solitons are annihilated by half of the supersymmetry transformatio...
متن کاملProbable values of the cosmological constant in a holographic theory
We point out that for a large class of universes, holography implies that the most probable value for the cosmological constant is zero. In four space-time dimensions, the probability distribution takes the Baum-Hawking form, dP approximately exp(cM(2)(p)/Lambda)dLambda.
متن کاملSix Dimensional Topological Gravity and the Cosmological Constant Problem
We formulate a topological theory in six dimensions with gauge group SO(3, 3) which reduces to gravity on a four dimensional defect if suitable boundary conditions are chosen. In such a framework we implement the reflection automorphism of SO(3, 3) as a Z2 symmetry which forbids the appearance of a gravitational cosmological constant. Some temptative speculations are presented also for the poss...
متن کاملinstantons, and cosmological horizons
We consider the possibility that tunneling in a degenerate double-well potential in de Sitter spacetime leads to coherent oscillations of quantum probability to find the system in a given well. We concentrate on the case when the mass scale of the potential is much larger than the Hubble parameter and present a procedure for analytical continuation of the “time”-dependent instantons, which allo...
متن کاملDuality and the cosmological constant
A dynamical theory is studied in which a scalar field φ in Einstein-Minkowski space is coupled to the four-velocity Nμ of a preferred inertial observer in that space. As a consistent requirement on this coupling we study a principle of duality invariance of the dynamical mass-term of φ at some universal length in the smalldistance regime. In the large-distance regime duality breaking can be int...
